The Garmin Forerunner 1090XT is a great fitness tracker that has a variety of sports modes and can automatically detect most of them. It is waterproof to a depth of 100 meters and has GPS. The battery life can be up to 18 days.
The T-Rex Pro is a great phone, but it doesn’t have a wow factor. The design is almost exactly the same as the original Amazfit T-Rex, but there are some minor differences that make it less impressive. For example, the buttons are too light to be accurate and can easily be pressed by accident.
The T-Rex Pro is a chunky polycarbonate product that has a relatively masculine look, but never feels heavy when worn thanks to its light 59.4g weight. It is shock resistant, withstands -40°C to 70°C, and meets MIL-STD-810G standards. The most important feature of the T-Rex Pro is that it is waterproof to depths of up to 100 meters.
The T-Rex Pro has a 1.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. It is easily visible even in bright sunlight, but only if you set it to the highest brightness level. This naturally affects the battery life, which Zepp specifies at 18 days. In practice, the 390 mAh battery lasts for about a week, which is still impressive.
The Zepp Runner Wristband comes with a silicone wristband that is comfortable and stays in place while running. The only other accessory in the box is a proprietary charger that attaches magnetically to the back of the case. That’s also where you’ll find the flashing LEDs of Zepp’s new-for-2021 Bio-Tracking 2 PPG optical sensor, which measures heart rate and oxygen saturation (SpO2). Also inside are an accelerometer, gyroscope, altimeter, geomagnetic sensor and ambient light sensor.
