The Beats Studio 3 Wireless is a new addition to the Beats brand, and it features Apple’s excellent W1 wireless chip as well as dramatically improved noise cancelling. They only function flawlessly with other Apple products, but they have some great advantages when used with other devices. For example, they have stable Bluetooth connections, long battery lives, and seamless syncing. However, they lose most of their advantages when used with a Google Pixel, Chromebook, or Windows PC.

The Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones are designed for music lovers who want the best noise cancellation possible. They have a sophisticated and fashionable appearance, but their ANC system can be erratic and there may be a lot of white noise when it’s active.

Design

The Beats over-ear headphones are indistinguishable from those of other brands. The word “Beats” is emblazoned on the overhead band, and each ear cup features the recognizable curved lower case “b” design.

The Studio 3 over-ear headphones are really cozy. After prolonged listening sessions, many on- and over-ear headphones with worse designs dig in and cause more discomfort than they should. Thanks to the deep padded ear cup design, which is deep enough to prevent ear compression, there are no such issues.

The headphones are comfortable and stylish. They have a soft rubber lining to them, which makes them feel good in the ear and makes it easy to adjust them. The hinge on the side allows for storage, so you can easily take these headphones with you wherever you go. The micro USB charging port is strange, but it doesn’t really bother us in normal use.

Beats Studio 3 review: Comfort

We found the Studio3s to be very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. They are lightweight and have plush ear cups and an adjustable headband, which made them suitable for people with larger heads. The Beats headphones weigh 9.2 ounces, which is slightly more than the Studio3s. ..

The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones come with a soft, rubbery material on the inside of the headband and thick padding on the inside of the ear cups. These headphones are designed to be comfortable to wear for extended listening sessions. ..

Connectivity

Apple has released a new processor for Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones that makes the connection process more direct and easier.

Beats Studio 3 review: Noise canceling

The Beats Studio3 headphones were able to muffle the sound of construction workers outside my window. Since we weren’t on the road when we tested these headphones, we used our sound bar at 90% volume to play a track that mimicked aero plane noise. Although it was still audible, aircraft rumble was significantly muted with the Beats Studio3.

The ANC sound is faint and persistent when it’s on, but it’s not particularly audible unless you’re specifically looking for it. However, the ANC sound is more difficult to notice at any volume. Furthermore, we found that the headphone’s tuning slightly deepened the background sounds with ANC off, making them sound less obnoxious.

Audio performance

Beats by Dr. Dre Studio 3 Wireless earphones are known for their bass, but we found that the sound profile is well balanced with midrange and high frequencies. The bass is clearly audible, but it does not overpower the other frequencies. The Studio 3 Wireless earphones are also very adaptable, which means you can enjoy your favorite music no matter what type of music you listen to. ..

The Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones are excellent for people who want to rediscover songs they’d almost forgotten about. They emphasize small details, such as strings rubbing against the metal frets during chord changes, and add warmth to the background. ..

Call performance

We tested the Beats Studio 3 and found it to be an excellent phone with great call quality. The audio goes into both ears, which is a plus, and the design is sleek.

Battery and charging

Apple has released a new wireless headphone chip, the H1, which is seen in the new AirPods Pro and the Powerbeats Pro. The H1 chip provides a useful feature that allows you to view the battery percentage of your headphones from the streaming app. The battery life is excellent, though it is comparable to the Bose QuietComfort 35’s when all features are used. With wireless and ANC, you’ll get 22 hours or 20 hours with Bose. ..

The Studio 3 Wireless headphones are great for people who want a wire-free experience. The noise cancellation is fantastic, and the indicator on the power button lets you know how much battery life is left. These headphones also work flawlessly on both iPhones and Android devices.

Price and availability

Beats Studio 3 review: Conclusion

The Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones are a reliable, well-balanced pair of headphones that should appeal to individuals who value clarity and balance above all else. The noise cancelling is above average, and it’s convenient to pair with iOS devices.

The QuietComfort 35 is available for $20 less, so the price seems a bit high. If you want to save some money, we also recommend the AKG N60 NC Wireless and the Libratone Q Adapt On-Ear, but all of these models fall short of the Bose lineup in terms of noise cancellation abilities.
