Guide: Change your Google profile picture – Guide

Gmail is a popular email service that can be used to send messages to friends and potential employers. If you have an outdated email address or don’t use Gmail regularly, I recommend creating a Gmail account specifically for your job search and networking activities. However, there are some things you should keep in mind about your Gmail account: every time you send an email, your profile picture will be included in the message.

To change your Gmail profile photo, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account and click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen. This will take you to your Profile Settings.
  2. In Profile Settings, click on the “Gmail” tab.
  3. Scroll down and select “Photos” under “Photos & Videos”.
  4. Click on the “Edit” button and select a standard face photo that supports your personal brand and portrays you in a professional and friendly way.
  5. Click on the “Save” button to finish setting up your new profile photo!
