How to Hide email address on iPhone or iPad – Guide
Hide My Email is a new feature that allows you to keep your online privacy more private. This feature, available with iCloud+, is an enhanced version of the existing Sign In with Apple service that allows you to use an anonymous Apple ID to sign in to certain apps and websites. However, Hide My Email only works with compatible apps and websites.
Apple is introducing a new feature in iOS 15 called “Hide my email.” This new feature allows you to hide your emails from the Apple App Store and iCloud. This will make it easier for you to keep your email privacy.
How to hide your email address on your iPhone or iPad
If you haven’t already upgraded to iCloud, you will need to do so in order to use the new features of iOS / iPad OS 15 or later.
If you have an iCloud account, then go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad and select the iCloud entry. Then tap Hide my email.
If you’ve ever signed in to your Apple account using the “Sign In with Apple” option, you’ll see a list of the random email addresses you’ve generated in the past. To use one of these addresses for a new online account, tap it. On the details screen for that address, make sure it’s still being forwarded to your real email address. Otherwise, turn on the switch to do this. You can now use this address with any new accounts you want to remain anonymous for. ..
If you don’t have an existing address or want to create a new one, tap the Create new address link. The Hide My Email screen creates a new random address. If you want to try a different address, tap the link for Use different address. Keep tapping this link to see a different address. The app cycles through three random addresses each time you try it out, so you need to choose one of them. When you find an address you want to use, enter a name for it in the Label field. Add a note if desired. Tap Next and then Done.
You can now use this address for any website or app that requires you to register. Any email sent to this address will be forwarded to your regular address. To disable this address, go back to the Hide my email screen and tap the address. On the details screen, tap the link to Deactivate email address and confirm deactivation.
