How to get your Android phone in tip-top shape for 2021 – Guide

If you’re like most people, you probably don’t uninstall the apps you use regularly. In fact, many of them are still installed on your phone even after you’ve told them to be unloaded. To do this, you’ll need to assess which ones you use most often and then uninstall those that are no longer needed.

This new feature is called “permission management.” It’s a way for us to make sure that only the apps that we want to use our location, camera, or microphone for are able to see them. And it’s a way for us to make sure that our users are getting the best possible experience from our products.
In both cases, it’s up to you to make sure you have your permissions set. In the case of an upgrade, any app you installed before the upgrade would have been given regular and unrestricted permissions in the older Android environment – and therefore would only be affected by the new, more differentiated options if you were to access manually and revisit your settings.

As you tap each permission, see which apps have access to it. If you come across something that doesn’t seem to need access to a certain area – or maybe you don’t need full and continuous access to it, in Android 10 or 11 environment – tap its name and adjust your permission setting as needed.

Android Maintenance Step 4: External Access Verification
Your Google account may be shared with third-party companies and services that don’t have a direct presence on your device if you’ve granted them access in the past.
If you have any questions or concerns about how your account is being used, head over to this Google Account page and review the list of third-party entities that are authorized to view at least some of your account information. You’ll see lines for services that have full access to your entire Google account and everything within it, along with lines for services that can see a specific part of Google’s configuration – like your calendar, your contacts, or your email.
If you see something on your computer that you no longer need or don’t recognize, click on it and remove the access button to cut the connection and protect your data.
Android Maintenance Step 5: Device Size Reduction
Google is introducing a new policy that will allow apps and services to keep access to your information even after you no longer use them. This means that not only will your data be stored by the app or service, but the app or service can also continue to access this data even if you have deleted it from your device. Additionally, starting in January, it is important to disconnect all outdated devices from your Google Account so that they are no longer authorized to access your information. ..

When you see something you no longer use, click the three-dot menu icon inside the box and select the option to exit it. If you find something you don’t recognize, click on the same icon and select “Don’t recognize this device” to take the appropriate action. ..
