Google Meet is a collaborative software application that encourages teamwork between office and remote workers. The feature, Companion Mode, allows both remote employees and their office coworkers to communicate, share resources, and brainstorm ideas on Google Meet.

To start Google Meet Companion mode, open the Google Meeting app on your device and sign in with your account. If you’re using a desktop computer, open the Start menu and type “Google Meeting” and hit enter. If you’re using a Google Meet hardware device, such as a Nexus 6P or Pixel XL, open the Google Meeting app on that device and sign in with your account. On your devices, click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen to get to Companion Mode: -In Companion Mode, all of your devices will be listed together under “Google Meet.” You can use this space to view all of your meetings at once or select one to start from. -If you have more than one meeting active at once (for example, if you’re attending two meetings at the same time), each meeting will be listed separately under its own heading. -If you want to stop seeing a meeting or switch it to another device for purposes of work or study (for example, if you’ve moved from one computer to another), just click on its name in the list and it will be re-listed under “Google Meet.”
