To use your laptop with lid closed, follow these steps:

  1. Open the lid of your laptop and press the power button to turn it on.
  2. If you are using a laptop with an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen processor, open the Processor Properties dialog box and set the “Use ACPI” property to “On.” If you are using a laptop with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 graphics card, open the Graphics Properties dialog box and set the “Use ACPI” property to “Off.”
  3. If you are using a laptop with an SSD, insert it into the drive bay and turn on your computer.
  4. Close all of your applications except for Outlook and Adobe Photoshop.
