iOS 16: 3 Ways to Fix the Most Annoying Features
Remove the glaring search icon
We agree that Spotlight is excellent. However, it is also just a tap away. Apple includes a setting to revert to previous behavior if you don’t like how iOS 16 has replaced Home Page dots the screen with a search icon (you’re not alone in this). Disable “show in Home Screen” in the Search section of Settings > Home Screen.
Go back to old lock screen notifications
The lock screen has been revamped with iOS 16. It now features a notification system, which is at the bottom of the screen. This is a great change, but on the downside it can be confusing to see all of the alerts at once.
It is possible to view all notifications as a list on iOS 16. To do so, go to Settings > Notifications > Display As and set the default to “List” if you want to switch back. Just below the clock, all alerts will reappear as a list, one after the other.
stop the side button of calls that end randomly
If you press the Side/Power button on your iPhone, the call ends instantly. However, if you accidentally press it, there is an option to turn it off: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Tap and enable “Prevent Block to End Call.”
Final Words
iOS 16 is a major update for the iPhone that includes a number of new features and tweaks. If you’re used to doing things in a particular way, some of the features and tweaks that address annoying issues from iOS 15 and earlier can feel tiresome.
