The iPhone 14 Pro is a more expensive version of the iPhone that has a better camera. We compared it to the regular iPhone and the new cheaper model, the iPhone XR. The regular iPhone has a good camera, but it’s not as good as the Pro model. The XR is cheaper than the Pro model, but it doesn’t have a good camera. ..

The iPhone 11 Pro, 12 Pro, and 13 Pro will not offer a significant improvement over the iPhone 11, 12, or 13 models that are currently available. If you own an iPhone 11, 12, or 13 model, the purchase of the iPhone 11 Pro, 12 Pro, or 13 Pro is worth your consideration. However, when compared to other smartphone ecosystems such as Android, the iPhone 11 Pro, 12 Pro, and 13 Pro are not the best options available. ..

Software

Apple’s A16 Bionic SoC is only available in this year’s Pro iPhones. The processing of photos and videos, graphics, and power efficiency bring this to light.

Apple’s new SoC has 16 billion transistors and is made using a 4nm technology, which is the best in the industry. Apple claims that its own silicon performs 40% faster than the industry’s top competitors, Qualcomm and MediaTek, and has been able to surpass them for years. ..

The iPhone 14 Pro has a 16-core “Neural Engine” and a five-core integrated GPU. Additionally, there are separate blocks for managing displays, handling display subsystems, and image processing (currently referred to as “Photonic Engine”).

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro both have 6GB of RAM, which is a departure from the norm for Apple. Additionally, battery capacities are not disclosed, but according to third-party teardowns, the two variants have batteries of 3,200mAh and 4,323mAh, respectively. The only way to describe battery life is in terms of time; for the two models, local video playback can last up to 28 hours and 29 hours respectively. ..

Gaming and Performance

The new A16 Bionic chip, which is exclusive to the new iPhone Pro versions this year, makes the iPhone 14 Pro incredibly quick. Apps open swiftly, switching between apps is instantaneous, and iOS 16 generally operates smoothly – especially while you observe the Dynamic Island continuously expanding and contracting. This is our iPhone 14 Pro review.

Despite the small performance difference between the iPhone 14 Pro and 13 Pro, there is a significant difference in battery life between the two models. The A16 Bionic is much more effective at increasing battery life, but we will cover this in more detail later.

The iPhone 14 Pro has a 1,889 (single) or 5,120 (multi) processor, while the iPhone 13 Pro has a 1,747 (single) or 4,531 (multi) processor.

The iPhone 14 Pro is an excellent gaming phone that runs flawlessly on Apple Arcade titles like Shovel Knight Dig and Fantasian. It also has incredible graphic power, making it the perfect choice for independent games.

iPhone 14 Pro review: Camera

Apple has decided to go 4x with the main lens on the iPhone 14 Pro. This is because the camera has been consistently employing a same lens configuration for years, and the 48MP main camera on this phone is now accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP telephoto sensor. Despite having a 48MP camera, the iPhone 14 Pro by default takes photographs at 12MP. You must convert to Apple ProRAW mode in order to use the resolution in it, but doing so will take up space on your device or in the cloud.

The iPhone 14 Pro has a 12MP telephoto lens, which gives you three times closer to an object. The detail is still present at that magnification level. It is advantageous to see the color separation at this size. The iPhone 13 Pro’s 12MP ultra-wide lens is comparable in quality, but it does improve over its elder sibling from the previous year. The iPhone 14 Pro’s stabilization system performs amazingly well. The colors are just as expected.

The iPhone 14 Pro has a 12MP camera that is just as good as the model before it. The clarity of the images has improved, and the Portrait photos are clearly defined. Additionally, the background separation is good.

The Cinematic mode on the iPhone 14 Pro is a great way to capture beautiful photos in low light. It captures images with a more realistic look and makes it easier to edit videos.

iPhone 14 Pro review: Battery life

The iPhone 14 Pro’s battery life is impressive. Its 3,200mAh battery is significantly less than the 4,500–5,000mAh cells in competing flagships, including the 4,323mAh battery in the 14 Pro Max.

The 14 Pro’s battery life is limited by our test, which entails streaming a YouTube video over Wi-Fi with the screen brightness at its highest setting. It lasted exactly 16 hours, matching the 13 Pro’s record, but falling far short of the 19 hours the 14 Pro Max managed. For reference, the Galaxy S22+ ran for 10 hours and the Pixel 6 Pro achieved 22 hours. ..

The phone consistently lasted a whole day on a single charge, despite extensive benchmarking. Despite this, we encountered no issues during the test period and always concluded the day at 25% or higher. Your results will differ depending on a variety of variables, including screen brightness and time spent on a screen, radio use, and more.

Price and availability

The $999 Apple iPhone 14 Pro has a little touch of middle child syndrome. In terms of features and performance, it clearly improves upon the smaller Pro Max ($1,099) and the basic iPhone 14 ($799). Unfortunately, with the exception of battery life, the smaller Pro is just as potent as the Pro Max. Usability, however, is the price one pay for longevity. The Pro is $100 less and more hand and pocket friendly than the enormous Pro Max, which may simply be too much phone for some. Our Editors’ Choice goes to the Pro Max because of its longer battery life but the Pro is otherwise just as good and a good substitute if you prefer.

Conclusion

The iPhone 14 Pro has undergone modifications by Apple that make it more animated and participatory. The dynamic range of the high-resolution camera goes well beyond what is typical, and it has unequalled potential for videography. The display becomes more vibrant and bright. ..

The A16 CPU in the iPhone 14 Pro is amazing. You already know that choosing the basic variant of the iPhone 14 doesn’t really make sense from our prior evaluation of the device. The iPhone 14 Pro warrants the upgrade, which is found in the Pro editions. With the iPhone 14 Pro, Apple took a risk, but the AOD feature needs improvement.
