Windows Update for Business Reports is a new update compliance tool that the company has called an “evolution.” Essentially, it is a rebranding of the older Windows Update for Personal Computers (WUPP) tool. The main difference between WUPP and WUBR is that WUPP is designed to be used in conjunction with Microsoft’s OneDrive online storage service, while WUBR is designed to be used standalone.

Microsoft is releasing a preview of its reporting tools, and saying the recently introduced Azure Workbooks for Update Compliance will be renamed Windows Update for Business reports this month. The new name is likely to reflect the fact that the tools are designed to help organizations manage updates more effectively, rather than just report on them.

Windows 10 has a new update history view that lets you see the status of targeted updates, including those managed by Windows Update for Business. This view is available in the Update Status report and in the Quality Update report.
