The inside is covered in a rubberized texture, while the outside is covered in a matte rubberized texture. The vent at the top of each earplug helps to relieve pressure from ANC. If you frequently get out in the rain or participate in sweaty activities, the IPX7 certification of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro should ensure that your earbuds will last long. The fit may not be ideal for runners, even if the IP rating is true.

The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is mainly aimed at Samsung owners with its exclusive Samsung Seamless Codec, everyone else has the Bluetooth codecs AAC or SBC to choose from. It also has an auto-switch function for switching devices as long as they are Samsung devices and you are logged in with a Samsung account – similar to the H1 chip and the soon-to-be H2 chip in Apple products. To stay on the cutting edge of technology, Samsung is also equipping the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with Bluetooth 5.3; expect LE audio support as soon as it’s generally available. With ANC enabled, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro last 4 hours and 50 minutes at a peak volume of 75 dB(SPL).
