That’s around 30 hours longer than the ordinary Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and twice as long as the Galaxy Watch 4. Does that actually happen? Both yes and no. We feel the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro could survive nearly 5 days without the always-on display, constant SpO2 monitoring, and frequent GPS use.
The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro’s battery life was depleted more quickly throughout my hikes and bike rides. We got about three days out of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro with what we consider normal use. That’s nearly a full day’s worth of use more than we got with the ordinary Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
We were disappointed with the Galaxy Watch’s battery life this year. The watch’s battery life falls short of that of many Garmin watches. The Garmin Instinct 2 Solar comes to mind, which has an indefinite battery life. The watch isn’t designed to last a week in the wilderness.
