The game’s development team, led by Casey Hudson, wanted to create a new type of game that would be different from the others in the series. They came up with the idea of creating a game called “SFX” and decided to use elements from other games in order to make it unique. The team eventually settled on using elements from Biowar, Element Zero, Element, The Oculon, The Optigon, Unearthed, Nebula: Guardians of the Citadel, Star Citadel, and simply The Citadel as the game’s logo.
