Samsung is partnering with Iridium Communications to develop a satellite communication system. This system will use 66 low earth orbit satellites to provide voice and data communication services.
According to Samsung, this collaboration will allow users to make calls and send messages from anywhere in the world without having to worry about connection issues. Additionally, Iridium is said to be providing the latest satellite technology and equipment for the Samsung smartphones. Meanwhile, Global Star is said to provide a reliable and affordable satellite connection for Apple devices.
Samsung is reportedly bringing text messaging and low-resolution image sharing to the Galaxy S23 via satellite. Due to the nature of satellite connections, devices require large antennas to support voice calls and high-speed data transmission.
