TheBlueMister has shared a photo of an unreleased accessory for the iPhone that he says is “amazing.” He says that it has a “slim design” and is made out of metal. TheBlueMister says that he got his hands on the product and is sharing the photo online to show off what he’s found.

TheBlueMister set out to take the accessory apart and make it work again, and he shares some of the process on Twitter. When you plug it into your Mac, you’ll find that the unannounced accessory is called the “Apple Magic Charger.”

The new Apple MacBook charger is a white rubberized MagSafe charger that slides into a vertical position to charge your MacBook. It includes a white rubberized base for securing to surfaces, and a built-in braided USB-C charging cable.

Twitter user DuanRui shared more unreleased images of his Apple Magic Charger today. The device looks strikingly similar to the iPhone’s Lightning Dock, which is likely why it has yet to be released.

The accessory’s design is similar to the “MagSafe” Duo’s flip-up Apple Watch charger and the now-discontinued Apple Watch magnetic charging dock. See official Apple accessories.

The design of the “iPhone” seems restrictive as it cannot be slid onto the charger in portrait mode. This is only useful when viewing content in landscape mode. However, the “MagSafe” pack can charge an “iPhone” or AirPods with a MagSafe charging case.

The Apple Magic Charger was designed to be able to charge the iPhone in an upright horizontal position. However, this restriction may have been one of the main reasons why Apple canceled the product.
